This rewarding, exciting career allows you to support brand new families, improving health outcomes for birthing people and babies. Certified doulas are needed to support families more than ever due to changing climates in healthcare.
Certified doulas are in high demand! Learn firsthand from a nurse and healthcare expert who personally guides, supports and encourages your individual success 1:1.
We have trained over 10 cohorts of students since 2023 and each month we continue to train more doulas.
Our Approach to Doula Training and Certification
My teaching philosophy centers around supporting other peers through their own training journey, then supporting them as new doulas through mentorship as they begin supporting our families or their own private clients. It's like having a friend by your side every step of the way. I am approachable, available and always willing to work directly with doula students.
I help assist in placements for required training hours, and I regularly keep my certified doulas up-to-date on new evidence based research and best practices. We hope our newly trained doulas stay on to work with us as we continue to grow our network of support for families across the country.
Why Become a Certified Doula?
Doula certification is a requirement to provide support in some hospitals.
Certification is required to work with Carrot, Progyny, Maven and other third party payers.
States across the country are moving towards health insurance reimbursement laws that require certification.
